The House of Tribes Theater was a long time dream and vision of visionary, Kwame Adansi-Bona.  He had a dream and an inspiration to return to the community what he had so generously received.

With vision in mind, he invited House Of Tribes' co-founder and long time friend, Orlando Rodriguez (known affectionately to his friends as Q) to breakfast and shared his dream, drawing his plans on a napkin, and here we are today.

The House of Tribes has undergone many face lifts and many have contributed to its growth.  What started out as a drawing on a napkin in a diner on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and a dream in Kwame's brain, has propelled many into careers they never dreamed possible.
